Meet Our “Small Pharma” Team
Jim Mulvahill, CEO
Jim Mulvahill is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-found of Bennett Pharmaceuticals of America. He has over 15 years experience with the FDA and bringing a drug through the approval process.
Jim and his wife Jean live in Minnesota, and they are excited to have all 22 - yes you read that right, 22 - children back in the Minneapolis area! They have 15 kids at home and eight grandchildren.
Dr. Michelle Brown, PIC
Dr. Michelle Brown is the Pharmacist-in-Charge and oversees the production team. Dr. Brown joined the Bennett Pharma team in the summer of 2023 and has already proven to be an asset to the Bennett Pharma team. She brings over 20 years of Pharmaceutical experience to the team.
The Browns are proud military family (#milspouse) and have three young children. The love to spend time outside and finding new parks. They also love fishing and family move nights.
Dr. Mike Smilanich, DDS, Director of Quality, Inventor
Dr. Mike Smilanich currently serves as the Director of Quality at Bennett Pharma. He brings over 40 years experience in restorative dentistry to the team. Dr. Mike is the inventor of Orlicaine.
Dr. Mike and his family live in Minnesota. He stays busy with two young boys at home, a son getting married this fall, and a granddaughter!
Alissia brings 14 years experience in the industry and currently serves as the Lead Pharmaceutical Technician on the team at Bennett Pharma.
Alissia loves to travel and hosting small events for her family and friends. She enjoys going to movies with her daughter and two nieces.

Katie Burgess, CVP
Katie Burgess serves as the Corporate Vice President for Bennett Pharma. As a co-founder, she began her journey in marketing and sales, and continues to grow in her role on the team.
Katie and her husband have four small children. They love going biking as a family, traveling, and boating.
